Text messages from Ophtho On-Call
Operated by Maple Grove Eyecare, P.C. for the Treasure Valley community ophthalmology call group
Ophtho On-Call uses one text number to connect the community ophthalmology call group with the
hospitals, clinics and patients who need to reach the ophthalmologist on call. Every message
starts with "Ophtho On-Call" so you know who it is from.
Who gets texts, and how you opt in
- Call-group physicians and office staff. You opt in on the
sign-in page by entering your mobile number (or your practice's
text-enabled line) and requesting a code. The consent statement is shown next to the
button. You will then receive sign-in codes, consult pages, call-trade and schedule notices,
and announcements to the call group.
- Hospital, ER and clinic staff requesting a consult. On the
consult request form, check "Text me updates about this request" next
to your callback number. You will receive texts about that request only, such as when the
on-call ophthalmologist has seen the page. The box is optional and unchecked by default.
- Anyone who texts our number first, including patients looking for the on-call
ophthalmologist. We reply to your message and may continue that conversation. Please do not
text patient details; we will point you to the secure form or the right phone number.
